how fast do they work?

I woke up this morning with a mild case of pink eye.  Where I got it, I'm not sure, but considering how compromised my immune system has been of late, I wasn't that surprised.  I immediately thought to the last time I got it {the kids got it first} and hoped it wouldn't take that long to get over it.  Then I realized, I probably have an essential oil that will work for this ailment.  Sure enough, I looked at my handy little doTERRA guide and under conjunctivitis, either Melaleuca or Lavender were suggested.  Since I just ordered my Family Physician Kit, my Melaleuca is in the mail, but I {thankfully} had the Lavender sitting on my counter thanks to my mom.

I dabbed a few drops of the Lavender oil around my eye {not IN} and after a few minutes of slight tingling, my eye didn't bother me the rest of the day.  I never felt the need to mess with it, or that it was burning or itchy {like last time, if I remember}.  I will not, of course, stop with that one treatment, but I'll continue a few more times.  Hopefully I will have this cleared up in no time.  I was kind of amazed at how quickly the oil took effect - just goes to show you how effective they are.
